Special Opportunities for Worship and Fellowship in Advent

Evening Prayer:  Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. This service will take place in the chapel. Come join Emily and your fellow parishioners for this 25 minute service of prayer, Scripture reading, and quiet contemplation.

Soup, Salad and Song: Saturday, December 5 at 5:30 p.m. We will gather in the parish hall and enjoy some homemade soups, salads, and desserts and sing our favorite Christmas carols. Bring your family and friends for this great holiday tradition!

Advent Lessons and Carols Service: Sunday, December 6 at 10:00 a.m. This service is based on one that has been sung annually since 1918 at King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, England. Through music and Scripture readings, the service explores the meaning of the season: the longing for the Messiah and the realization of that hope found in the Incarnation of Christ.

Women’s Christmas Dinner: Friday, December 11 at 5:30 p.m. This is our women’s group annual Christmas event where we share delicious food and enjoy together a fun gift exchange. Come and make some friends and have some laughs!

St. Nicholas Celebration: Sunday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m. This is a special Children’s service in which we will celebrate St. Nicholas’ Feast Day. Afterwards we will share in a festive fellowship time together.

Taizé Service: Thursday, December 17 at 7:00 p.m. This is our monthly service which will focus on Advent themes, prayers and meditative singing.

Blue Christmas Service: Sunday, December 20 at 7:00 p.m. This is a quiet, contemplative candlelight service of prayers, Scripture and music. It allows the opportunity to be in God’s presence for those of us who mourn, or who simply feel a need to await the coming of the Christ Child in contemplation and solemnity. Please join us in this service of quiet reflection, remembrance, comfort and hope.
