Special Children’s Service on Sunday: At this monthly Children’s service we will be using prayer stations that will be placed around the sanctuary to give us a different way to worship. Prayer stations are an opportunity to have an interactive, reflective, and experiential worship experience that can be meaningful for adults and youth. Victoria Hoppes from the Diocesan Youth Ministry Team will be leading us in this experiential worship this day. Please bring friends and family to this special service!
Adult Forum: This Sunday Scott Robinson will be our guest speaker. Scott is an ordained Interfaith Minister, who works as a hospice chaplain and freelance clergy. Scott recently published a book in November, 2015 titled, “The Dark Hills.” Part memoir, part meditation, part guidepost, The Dark Hills is an insider account of depression from a spiritual perspective., drawing on Hindu, Buddhist, Sufi and Judeo-Christian wisdom. Please come to welcome Scott and listen to him speak about faith, spirituality, and depression. Adult Forum takes place every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the Library.
Lectionary Bible Study: A glory cloud and shining faces. What (or who?) do we see in the liturgy and how does it change us; make us glow? What happens next? Bring your observations and questions about the readings (and snacks), and join us for a lively discussion around the Lectionary texts in the library after the 10 am service.
Panera Bread: Sunday is our Panera Bread “Bucks for Brains – Yummies for You” day. Stop by the Panera bread table in the Parish Hall. Make a donation that will be shared between scholarships for the youth of Guatemala and funding for research into the cause and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, the 6th leading cause of death in the US. Then, take home some Panera bread or pastry as a “thank you”!
