St. Peter’s Weekly News
January 25, 2017
While Emily’s away: Emily will be away this Sunday celebrating her mother’s birthday with her family. We will welcome back the Rev. Carl Metzgar as our guest celebrant and preacher on Sunday. If you have a pastoral need, please contact Deacon Pat at 215-262-9335.
Adult Forum: continues this new year with contributions by our incredibly gifted & generous parishioners. The theme for January is “Journey”. All of us come to be where we are through fascinating, winding paths. Please join us Sunday as Calvin Haas will share his explorations with us. Adult Forum meets at 9 am in the library and we welcome all. Bring your coffee! Deacon Pat.
Lectionary Bible Study: For the next four weeks, we will hear portions of the Sermon on the Mount. They will sound familiar, and yet, we hear them in changing surroundings. What new can we discover and how will these words guide us in our fractured and sometimes hostile world? Bring your observations, questions, and snacks as we probe this week’s readings in the library after the 10 am service; “so that by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.”
