We will celebrate the children of St. Peter’s with our annual Children’s Sabbath service.  Children will preach, sing, play instruments, read, offer prayers and lead the service.  The Folk Group will be playing! We will also be honoring all leaders, teachers and helpers whose dedication has allowed us to have another successful year.  Please plan to join us for this exciting event!

If your kids would like to serve as a worship minister, musical instrumentalist or sing in the Children’s Choir, please talk with Emily or Tim.

PENTECOST SUNDAY, JUNE 4

 IMG_0793

One of the great feast days of our church year is Pentecost Sunday.  On this day we celebrate the moment when those first disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit by wind and flame and empowered to go out into the world to proclaim the Gospel.  Often this day is referred to as the birthday of the church.  There are many great traditions associated with this day.  One is that we participate in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, welcoming our youngest into God’s household. Another is that the sanctuary is decorated with the color of red (many, many red balloons appear) symbolizing the flames of the Holy Spirit. To get into the spirit of things, please show up to church wearing RED!!
