Remembering Our Friends: Mike Smith’s Interment Service in the Memorial Courtyard will take place at 11 A.M. on Saturday. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Fr. Bob Sykes’ service will take place at Trinity Church, Ambler on Saturday, June 17. Visitation will occur at 9 a.m. and the service at 10 a.m. Both men were faithful members of St. Philip-in-the-Fields. Rest eternal, grant to Bob and Mike, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Parish Picnic and Outdoor Service: THIS SUNDAY is our annual outdoor service and picnic. We’ll meet for worship under the trees at 10 a.m. in Ft. Washington State Park in Flourtown. What you need to know: we provide the hamburgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, rolls, and beverages. You bring side dishes, salads, snacks and desserts; also your softball glove or favorite outdoor game to share. The park provides picnic tables; you might want to bring your favorite outdoor chairs or blankets to sit on. This is a fun day for the whole family to share. Feel free to invite friends, too.
If you cannot join us at the parish picnic and outdoor service at Ft. Washington State Park, there will be a Morning Prayer service held in the church at 10 a.m.
In case of rain on Sunday morning, we will have the Eucharist service at the church and a fun, indoor picnic in the parish hall afterwards.
