Concern for the world outside of our walls has long been an important theme at St. Peter’s Church. This is one way we believe we are living out Jesus’ words in Matthew 25: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.”
We reach out beyond our walls by supporting other ministries through our own financial donations as well as collections, such as our backpack project or layette Sunday. We also are involved in hands-on ministries such as making sandwiches for a soup kitchen. Finally, we are committed to ever-widening the circles of fellowship with our sisters and brothers who differ from us in culture, language and religion. We do so through our interfaith work and our relationship with our companion parishes in Guatemala.
Please take a look at all the ministries we support at St. Peter’s Church and consider getting involved.
